Restoration Druid healing guide & helper

Heal as Restoration Druid with a helper that picks the right target: it watches your whole group, keeps dispels going and fills quiet moments with damage.

Guide

How Restoration plays.

You heal over time. Lifebloom stays on one person - the tank, or whoever you pick - and Rejuvenation goes on people before the damage lands. Swiftmend goes out on cooldown on someone with your heal-over-time, Wild Growth when several people are hurt, and Regrowth on whoever is low.

Who gets healed

  • Someone dying comes first: at 35% or lower, or about to die within 2.5 s (both changeable).
  • At 20% or lower, your own defensive goes before any heal.
  • Most heals go to the most hurt person; Lifebloom and one Rejuvenation go to the tank.
  • Lifebloom on your pick: right-click someone > Keep Lifebloom here.
  • Your mouse target gets Rejuvenation and Regrowth, unless someone else is below 30%.
  • Nature's Cure dispels (a switch), and people who must be healed to full get topped up.

Healing spells

  1. Ironbark on someone at 40% or lower who has no defensive up.
  2. Nature's Cure on dispellable debuffs.
  3. Nature's Swiftness when the most hurt person is below 40%, then an instant Regrowth.
  4. Swiftmend on someone below 45% who has your Rejuvenation or Regrowth.
  5. Tranquility when 4 people are below 50%; Incarnation: Tree of Life and Convoke the Spirits when 3 are below 70%; Wild Growth when 3 are below 85%.
  6. Before a big hit on the whole group: Rejuvenation 5 s before, Wild Growth 2 s before.
  7. Lifebloom on your pick or the tank, renewed after 10.5 s.
  8. Swiftmend on cooldown, Regrowth with Clearcasting, Rejuvenation on the tank and the hurt, Regrowth below 60%.

When it's quiet

  • Moonfire and Sunfire kept up, then Starsurge and Wrath.
  • Out of combat, Rejuvenation tops up anyone below 90%.

Good to know

  • Innervate when your mana is below 75%.
  • The guides give almost no health numbers, so ours are starting values - change them on the Tuning page.
What it does for you

Built for Restoration.

01

Heal the right target

The healing engine watches your whole group and raid and picks who needs it now. The one about to die comes first.

02

Dispels

Harmful effects come off your group as they land, when you switch Dispels on.

03

Damage when it's quiet

When nobody needs healing, your Restoration damage spells keep going.

04

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, at the last safe moment, and no stuns on mobs that can't be stunned.

05

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

06

You stay in control

Every spell, threshold and line of the priority is yours to change. One switch turns it off.

Tuning

Tune Restoration your way.

A few of the settings you can change in game, shown with their default.

  • Your mouse heal waits while someone else is below 30% (they come first)
  • "Dying": someone at most 35% (a heal comes before dispels / your stuns)
  • You first: at 20% or lower your own defensive goes before any heal
  • Rejuvenation on people this many seconds before a big hit on the whole group (0 = off)
  • Wild Growth this many seconds before a big hit on the whole group (0 = off)
  • Swiftmend on cooldown (on someone with your HoT) even when nobody is low - on by default
  • Ironbark: someone's health at most 40%
  • Natures Swiftness: the most hurt person below 40%
  • Regrowth: someone's health below 40%
  • Swiftmend: someone's health below 45%
