Feral Druid rotation guide & helper

Play Feral Druid like a skilled player: the current priority, cooldowns that line up, AoE when it pays and kicks on the casts that matter.

Updated for patch 12.1.5 · World of Warcraft: Midnight · Windows
Guide

How Feral plays.

You build combo points in Cat Form with Rake and Shred and spend them at five. Tiger's Fury goes out on cooldown, and Berserk or Incarnation goes out with it. Rip stays up at five points without being cut short, and a Rake cast with Tiger's Fury or from Prowl is stronger - the helper keeps track of which Rake you have and only replaces it with a better one.

One target

  1. Tiger's Fury on cooldown, lined up with Berserk and Frantic Frenzy.
  2. Berserk or Incarnation while Tiger's Fury is up; Feral Frenzy or Frantic Frenzy at low combo points; Convoke the Spirits inside Berserk and Tiger's Fury.
  3. Ferocious Bite when Apex Predator's Craving is up.
  4. Rip at five points when it needs refreshing.
  5. Ferocious Bite at five points and 50+ energy.
  6. Rake kept up (and Moonfire with Lunar Inspiration), refreshed while Tiger's Fury is up.
  7. Shred as the filler.

Packs

  • Pack lines start at 2 targets (changeable).
  • Primal Wrath at five points puts Rip on the whole pack.
  • Rake goes on every mob up to 8 mobs (changeable); Swipe takes over with Clearcasting, during Berserk with Druid of the Claw, and from 3 targets.
  • Rake (and Moonfire with Lunar Inspiration) goes on the mob under your mouse when it is next to you and missing it.

Good to know

  • Chomp goes out when your energy is below 30%.
  • Regrowth with Predatory Swiftness when your own health is below 60% (changeable).
  • Both hero trees work: Druid of the Claw (Ravage) and Wildstalker.
  • The opener from stealth is yours, like a rogue's - Prowl and Shadowmeld stay out of the rotation.
What it does for you

Built for Feral.

01

Cooldowns that line up

Your Feral cooldowns go when the priority says so, not when a timer runs out.

02

AoE when it pays

Area spells only once enough enemies are around you. You pick the number.

03

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, at the last safe moment, and no stuns on mobs that can't be stunned.

04

DoTs on every mob

Rest your mouse on another enemy and your missing DoT goes there. Your target never changes.

05

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

06

You stay in control

Every spell, threshold and line of the priority is yours to change. One switch turns it off.

In the rotation

Feral spells it uses.

Lines for spells you don't have are skipped, so it follows your talents.
