MidnightBridge

World of Warcraft: Midnight

Now on version 9.4.

9.4

  • Immunity learning: the helper learns which mobs are immune to your spells and stops casting them there. See the new Blacklist page under Rotation.
  • Fixed: the black band at the top of the screen can be switched back on.
  • If your display's colour settings get in the way, the helper tells you exactly which setting to change.

9.3

  • New: hide the sphere, its words or its text lines (Look & Layout).
  • New minimap icon.
  • The Bridge: clearer login screen.

9.2

  • Your Tuning settings now apply in full.
  • Interrupts and stuns no longer go to waste.
  • Smoother game while the helper is open.
  • The Bridge: new performance settings (Settings > Performance).
  • The Bridge: Day and Night look.

9.1

  • Healers save dying players first.
  • Retribution and Protection paladins heal the group with Word of Glory.
  • Class fixes.

9.0

  • Better fight reports.

8.8

  • Tanks: your taunt shows as an orange icon above the enemy, like the kick and stun icons. A cast worth stopping still comes first.
  • The Nameplates page is now a few simple switches: kick / stun icons, taunt icon, your DoTs and DoT spreading.
  • Enhancement and Restoration Shaman: Flame Shock uses the same DoT icons as every other DoT class, and Enhancement spreads it to the mob under your mouse.
  • The Bridge finds the WoW Forever folder by itself.

8.6

  • Healers (Restoration Druid and Shaman, Discipline and Holy Priest, Mistweaver, Preservation): new rules from the healer guides - getting ready before big group damage, short cooldowns on cooldown, "heal to full" debuffs topped up first.
  • Restoration Shaman: Earth Shield stays on one tank; Healing Surge when you have it.
  • Healing a friendly NPC under your mouse (like the Avatar in Temple of Sethraliss) works smoothly, and no mana is wasted while she can't be healed.
  • Blessing of Protection goes out earlier on a damage dealer or healer who is taking heavy damage, before Sacrifice.
  • Stuns work on mobs one level above you. Bosses are never stunned, and mobs that can't be stunned are still learned.
  • Your interrupt or stun keeps the global cooldown free when a dangerous cast is coming.
  • Defensives you can use while feared or stunned (Divine Protection, Divine Shield ...) still go out at their health limit.
  • New option: break a long fear or stun with Divine Shield or Ice Block when your health is low.
  • Spells that only hit enemies next to you or in front of you wait until an enemy is really there.
  • Blessing of Freedom goes on the dungeon slows and roots from the guides, and never on yourself while you're feared or stunned.
  • Aura Mastery goes out just before the big group-wide boss hits when your boss mod shows the timer (BigWigs or EXBoss).
  • About 40 more important dungeon casts count as dangerous and get stopped earlier.
  • Smoother and lighter on your PC; windows over the top of the screen no longer get in the way.
  • The helper has its own window in the MidnightBridge colours, with shortcuts for a report and copying the log.
  • Works with Windows HDR, and with any gamma, brightness or contrast setting.
  • New interrupt timing option: "At the latest" (default 0.8 seconds before a cast ends).
  • New nameplate badge on casts that matter: the spell you'll use, its cooldown, or a red shield when nothing can stop the cast.
  • The Support page is much simpler: pick how freely cooldowns are used and every number is set for you. Each support spell has its own card.

8.5

  • Every class and spec now has a rotation.
  • Shadow Priest: Vampiric Touch kept up, Voidform, Shadow Word: Madness, Mind Blast. Rest your mouse on a mob to put Vampiric Touch there.
  • Discipline and Holy Priest group healing (Atonement, Prayer of Mending, Holy Words and the big cooldowns).
  • Demon Hunter: Havoc, Vengeance (tank) and the new Devourer spec.
  • Monk: Windwalker, Brewmaster (tank) and Mistweaver group healing.
  • Druid: Feral, Balance and Restoration group healing (Lifebloom on the tank or someone you pick).
  • Restoration Shaman group healing with totems, Riptide, Chain Heal and Healing Tide; Earth Shield on the tank.
  • Evoker: Devastation, Augmentation (pick who gets Prescience) and Preservation group healing. Deep Breath, Hover and Breath of Eons stay yours.

8.4

  • Destruction Warlock: Havoc on a second mob - rest your mouse on it.
  • Beast Mastery Hunter spreads Barbed Shot to the mob under your mouse; nameplate icons show which mobs still need it.
  • Assassination Rogue: Crimson Tempest when mobs are still missing a bleed.
  • Elemental Shaman: Lava Burst checks Flame Shock correctly.

8.3

  • Assassination Rogue spreads Rupture and Garrote to the mob under your mouse; nameplate icons show which mobs still need a bleed.
  • Deathmark and Kingsbane go out after a few seconds on big pulls even if not every mob is bleeding yet (changeable in Tuning).

8.2

  • Racial abilities are recognized for every race. Damage and cooldown racials are part of the rotation; the ones that move you or enemies stay yours.
  • Rotation check-up for every class: Glacial Spike, Cobra Shot, Divine Storm, Lava Burst and Sudden Death now go out when they should.

8.1

  • DoT spreading works properly: nameplate icons show where your DoT is up, and resting your mouse on a mob puts it there.
  • Rogues go into Stealth everywhere out of combat, except while mounted, flying, eating or drinking.

8.0

  • Rogues stay in Stealth out of combat so every fight starts with your opener (switchable).
  • DoT spreading works on training dummies too.
  • Clearer DoT icons: red frame = missing, green frame with a timer = up.

7.9

  • Start Fights works for ranged specs on training dummies.
  • When Start Fights won't open on your target, the sphere and the helper window say why.

7.8

  • Warlocks are here: Affliction, Demonology and Destruction, both hero trees. Your demon is summoned out of combat, and Spell Lock / Axe Toss interrupt.
  • DoT icons under enemy nameplates show which of your DoTs are missing or running out, also in dungeons. Rest your mouse on a mob and your missing DoT goes there; your target never changes.
  • Elemental Shaman gets the same for Flame Shock.
  • Shadowfury and Cataclysm land at your mouse like other ground spells.

7.7

  • Your spec always follows the game: change spec in the talent window and the helper follows.
  • Subtlety: Shadow Blades without Ancient Arts; Vanish is part of the rotation for all rogues.
  • Guardian, Survival and Arms: Maul, Raptor Strike and Cleave no longer waste time right after use.
  • My priority: buff and debuff conditions list the buffs your spec tracks.
  • Interrupts no longer cancel your own battle res or heals.

7.6

  • Rogues: Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety rotations for every hero tree.
  • Outlaw: the new Roll the Bones, with Keep It Rolling at the right time.
  • Opening from Stealth (Garrote, Ambush, Shadowstrike) - switch it off in Tuning if you prefer to open yourself.
  • Poisons go on out of combat; pick them per spec.
  • Rogue defensives at your health limits. Vanish stays yours.

7.5

  • Danger badges on casting nameplates work in dungeons, with a red cross when nothing of yours can stop the cast.
  • Healers: hover a friendly NPC that needs healing and it gets healed like a party member, unless someone in your group is in danger.

7.4

  • Ascendant week: orbs casting Cosmic Ascension get stopped, with an area stun when one is next to you.
  • Devour week (Holy Paladin): Devouring Rift is cleansed first.
  • Warriors: Spell Reflection just before a reflectable spell lands on you, Shield Block for blockable hits, based on the Season 2 dungeon guides.

7.3

  • Every casting enemy around you is watched (up to 5), not only your target.
  • Two dangerous casters next to you get stopped at once with one area spell.
  • Save the kick: your interrupt stays ready for the deadly cast in the pack instead of a harmless one.
  • Nameplates show each cast's danger.
  • After each fight you see which dangerous casts got through.

7.2

  • Smarter "stop casting": dungeon spells that lock you out are known, and your cast stops just before one lands.
  • Mark any enemy spell as "Locks" yourself, or let the helper learn them (off by default).

7.1

  • Every dungeon enemy spell has a danger rating from 0 to 5: deadly casts are stopped early, harmless ones are never stunned. Change any rating yourself.
  • Stuns are used more wisely: recently stunned mobs get a disorient instead.
  • Mobs that can't be stunned are known, and new ones are learned.
  • After each fight you see how many dangerous casts you stopped.

7.0

  • New dungeon test tool for the smarter interrupts.

6.9

  • Faster: more frames per second in big pulls.

6.8

  • New: see what MidnightBridge costs your game, live and per fight.
  • New dungeon test tool.

6.7

  • The exact spell every enemy casts is known, also in dungeons and Mythic+.
  • Dangerous spells always get kicked; casts not worth a kick are skipped so your kick is ready.
  • A dangerous cast your kick can't reach gets a stun instead.
  • Tanks: big trash hits get your small defensive just before they land.

6.6

  • New dungeon test tool.

6.5

  • Ground spells for every class land at your mouse.
  • Channels you can keep up while moving and buffs that let you cast on the move are known.
  • Interrupts, dispels and battle res are recognized for every class.

6.4

  • Hunters: Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival rotations for both hero trees, with interrupts, defensives and your pet called or revived out of combat.
  • Ground spells go off where your mouse points, no circle to click.
  • Survival: Takedown only once you're in melee; Aspect of the Eagle stays yours.

6.3

  • New: The Bridge, our launcher for MidnightBridge and ClassicBridge. Log in once through Discord and it installs, updates and starts everything.
  • New: Support. Your group spells are used for you in a group (Blessing of Sacrifice, Pain Suppression, Ironbark, Rallying Cry, Darkness and more): damage reduction early, immunities when someone is about to die, an external before a big tank hit.
  • Safe by default: one support spell at a time, never twice on the same person in a row. Every number can be changed.
  • Raids: your whole raid (10 to 40) is covered for healing and Support.
  • New: Dungeons & M+ and Raid profiles for your settings.
  • Holy Paladin: spare mana turns into healing.

5.9

  • The launcher checks the addon every start and repairs it if needed.
  • If the helper can't find the game, it tells you why.

5.8

  • Holy Paladin group healing: whoever needs it most, beacons, cleanses, blessings and Lay on Hands.
  • Hover a party member to heal them first; right-click to keep a beacon on them.
  • New rotation: Guardian Druid.
  • Battle res on a dead group member you hover.
  • Spells that hit around you or in front of you wait until enemies are in reach.
  • New: BridgeCDM, an optional bar showing your spells.
  • Every spec has a Tuning page.
ClassicBridge

2.5

2.0

  • Better fight reports.

1.8

  • Finds the WoW Forever folder by itself.

1.7

  • Works on game clients in other languages, like Chinese. Gathering works on English clients.

1.6

  • New: Choose rotation - play any rotation of your class, not only the one your talents point to.
  • Every rotation checked against the level 30 guides: Holy Fire openers for priests, Fire Nova for Elemental, earlier Holy Shock for Holy paladins, better rage use for warriors, smarter Slice and Dice, a Spellbear option for Balance and more.

1.5

  • Updated for the launch client: new cooldowns and ranks are known.

  • Stuns work on higher-level dungeon mobs (never on bosses).

  • Every casting mob next to you is watched; two casters can be stopped at once with an area spell.
  • Each enemy spell has a danger number you can change.
