Mistweaver Monk healing guide & helper

Heal as Mistweaver Monk with a helper that picks the right target: it watches your whole group, keeps dispels going and fills quiet moments with damage.

Updated for patch 12.1.5 · World of Warcraft: Midnight · Windows
Guide

How Mistweaver plays.

In Mythic+ a lot of your healing comes from melee damage: Rising Sun Kick, Blackout Kick, Tiger Palm and Spinning Crane Kick heal the group through your talents. So the heal list only takes over when someone really needs a heal. Renewing Mist goes on people before it sits on 2 charges, and Enveloping Mist and Vivify pick up whoever is low. Thunder Focus Tea makes the next Enveloping Mist instant.

Who gets healed

  • Someone "dying" comes first: at 35% or lower, or someone who would die within 2.5 seconds at the rate they lose health (both changeable).
  • At 20% or lower your own defensive goes out before any heal, and Expel Harm goes out below 60% of your health.
  • The person under your mouse gets Renewing Mist, Enveloping Mist and Vivify first - unless someone else is below 30%, then they come first.
  • Otherwise the most hurt person. The tank gets Renewing Mist when it would sit on 2 charges.
  • People with a "heal to full" debuff get Enveloping Mist and Vivify until they're topped up.
  • Detox cleans dispels, but waits while someone is dying (unless the person is crowd controlled). Revival also works as a group dispel when 3 or more people have a debuff you can dispel.

Healing spells

  1. Life Cocoon on someone at 30% or lower who has no defensive up.
  2. Detox on dispels, Sheilun's Gift on someone below 35%.
  3. Revival or Restoral when 3 or more people are below 50%.
  4. Invoke Chi-Ji or Yu'lon when 3 or more are below 70%, Celestial Conduit when 3 or more are below 75%.
  5. Thunder Focus Tea when someone is below 70%, then an instant Enveloping Mist on someone below 55%.
  6. Vivify on someone below 40%.
  7. Renewing Mist on people without it, Vivify below 80% after Rising Sun Kick makes it instant, Enveloping Mist below 50%, Vivify below 60%.
  8. Mana Tea at 20 stacks while your mana is below 80%.

When it's quiet

  1. Thunder Focus Tea on cooldown, spent on Rising Sun Kick (a switch).
  2. Rising Sun Kick, then Rushing Wind Kick.
  3. Spinning Crane Kick on 4 or more targets (changeable).
  4. Blackout Kick, then Tiger Palm.

Good to know

  • The guides give no health numbers, so every number here is a starting value you can change on the Tuning page.
  • Out of combat, Vivify tops up anyone below 90%.
What it does for you

Built for Mistweaver.

01

Heal the right target

The healing engine watches your whole group and raid and picks who needs it now. The one about to die comes first.

02

Dispels

Harmful effects come off your group as they land, when you switch Dispels on.

03

Damage when it's quiet

When nobody needs healing, your Mistweaver damage spells keep going.

04

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, at the last safe moment, and no stuns on mobs that can't be stunned.

05

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

06

You stay in control

Every spell, threshold and line of the priority is yours to change. One switch turns it off.

  • Revival as a group dispel when this many people have a debuff you can dispel (0 = off)
  • Thunder Focus Tea on cooldown (on Rising Sun Kick) when nobody needs a heal - on by default
  • Life Cocoon: someone's health at most 30%
  • Expel Harm: your own health below 60%
