Guide

How Feral plays.

You fight in Cat Form by default: build combo points with Claw (or Shred), spend them on Rip and Ferocious Bite, and keep Rake on the mob. Until you learn Cat Form you fight in Bear Form. Pick Bear Form as your fighting form and you play the bear list: Lacerate, Primal Bite, Swipe on packs and Maul with spare rage. Lines for spells you don't have yet are skipped, and the helper uses the right rank.

Cat, one target

  1. Tiger's Fury when you're in melee.
  2. Shred when Clearcasting lights up and the mob isn't attacking you, else Claw.
  3. Rip at 5 combo points on mobs living 8 seconds or more (10 seconds at level 60).
  4. Ferocious Bite at 5 points while Rip has 10 seconds or more left, or instead of Rip on a mob that won't live long enough.
  5. Shifting Power at 60 energy or less.
  6. Rake on mobs living 6 seconds or more, and on every fresh mob.
  7. Faerie Fire kept up while you're under 80 energy.
  8. Shred in a group if you have Shredding Attacks, else Claw.

Bear

  1. Enrage below 10 rage while you're above 50% health.
  2. Lacerate again when it has under 3 seconds left, then Primal Bite on cooldown.
  3. Lacerate up to 5 stacks on one target.
  4. Demoralizing Roar on 2 or more mobs. Faerie Fire kept up too.
  5. Swipe on 2 or more mobs at 20 rage or more, else Lacerate as the filler at 15 rage.
  6. Maul at 35 rage or more (15 before you have Primal Bite or Lacerate).
  • In a dungeon, Demoralizing Roar and Faerie Fire wait 4 seconds into the fight on a single mob.

Staying alive

  • Below 35% health the helper leaves Cat or Bear Form to heal you (Regrowth, then Healing Touch), but not on a mob that is almost dead.
  • Back into your form above 60% health, or when you're out of mana to heal.
  • Bear Form in dungeons is a switch for tanking. Off-tank (a switch): Cat Form while you're not tanking in a group, Bear Form when the mob turns on you.

Good to know

  • Low mobs: Ferocious Bite below 20% health or when the mob dies within 4 seconds, with 3 points. Combo points die with the mob.
  • No Rake below 20% mob health.
  • The helper keeps Mark of the Wild, Thorns and Omen of Clarity up in caster form.
  • Growl, Bash, Entangling Roots, Hibernate, Prowl, Dash and Travel Form stay yours.
What it does for you

Built for Feral.

01

Cooldowns that line up

Your Feral cooldowns go when the priority says so, not when a timer runs out.

02

AoE when it pays

Area spells only once enough enemies are around you. You pick the number.

03

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, and no wasted casts on mobs that are immune.

04

The right spell rank

Highest, smart or a fixed rank for every spell, so you never waste mana.

05

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

06

You stay in control

Every spell, threshold and line of the priority is yours to change. One switch turns it off.
