Beast Mastery Hunter rotation guide & helper

Play Beast Mastery Hunter like a skilled player: the current priority, cooldowns that line up, AoE when it pays and kicks on the casts that matter.

How Beast Mastery plays.

Your pet does a big part of the work: the helper sends it at your target, calls it when it's missing and heals it with Mend Pet. You keep Serpent Sting on the mob, Summon Hawk (talent, level 25) keeps two hawks out, and Aimed Shot (level 20) goes out on cooldown. In Forever your shots don't clip Auto Shot, so there's no shot timing to watch.

One target

  1. Call Pet when it's missing; Mend Pet below 40% pet health.
  2. Aspect of the Hawk (Aspect of the Monkey before you have it), Hunter's Mark on mobs that live 8+ seconds.
  3. Bestial Wrath on mobs that live 10+ seconds, Rapid Fire on mobs that live 15+ seconds.
  4. Serpent Sting on mobs that live 9+ seconds.
  5. Arcane Shot when two hawks are out with more than 6 seconds left, else Summon Hawk (mobs living 10+ seconds, or any mob in a group).
  6. Aimed Shot.
  7. Arcane Shot before you have hawks, at 40%+ mana or on a mob about to die.

Packs

  • Multi-Shot on 2 or more mobs (changeable); once you have Volley, only up to 4.
  • Volley (level 40) lands at your mouse on 3+ mobs, at 30%+ mana, standing still.
  • Serpent Sting also goes on the mob under your mouse that doesn't have it yet, at 30%+ mana.

Good to know

  • A mob in melee range: Raptor Strike, Mongoose Bite, Counterattack and Strider Kick take over.
  • The helper doesn't start a cast that a mob running at you would push back (a switch, on).
  • Weave build (level 60, a switch, off): Multi-Shot instead of Aimed Shot on one mob, Aimed Shot only before the pull.
  • Revive Pet, Disengage, traps and Aspect of the Cheetah stay yours.
What it does for you

Built for Beast Mastery.

01

Cooldowns that line up

Your Beast Mastery cooldowns go when the priority says so, not when a timer runs out.

02

AoE when it pays

Area spells only once enough enemies are around you. You pick the number.

03

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, and no wasted casts on mobs that are immune.

04

DoTs on every mob

Rest your mouse on another enemy and your missing DoT goes there. Your target never changes.

05

The right spell rank

Highest, smart or a fixed rank for every spell, so you never waste mana.

06

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

In the rotation

Beast Mastery spells it uses.

Lines for spells you don't have are skipped, so it follows your talents.
