Affliction Warlock rotation guide & helper

One target

1. Drain Life when you drop below 40% health.
2. Shadow Bolt when Shadow Trance lights up (free and instant).
3. Curse of the Elements on mobs living 25 seconds or more, from level 40 or in a group.
4. Bane of Doom on mobs living 60 seconds or more. Shorter fights get Amplify Curse and Bane of Agony instead (one Bane per mob).
5. Corruption, then Siphon Life on mobs living 20 seconds or more.
6. Immolate below level 30, and always in a group.
7. Drain Soul on a mob below 25% health while you have fewer than 3 shards.
8. Fillers: Wrack, Drain Life while solo from level 30, Shadow Bolt in groups, else the wand.

DoTs and mana

• Every mob above 90% health gets Bane of Agony, Corruption and Immolate, even if it won't live long. Below 20% health no new DoTs go on.
• DoTs also go on the mob under your mouse when it fights you, at 30% mana or more. The switch is "DoTs on other mobs".
• Life Tap below 40% mana while you're above 60% health, and with health to spare (above 90%) when you're under 80% mana.
• Life Tap out of combat too, below 70% mana and above 70% health (a main setting), not while eating or drinking.

Packs

• Hellfire in a group with 3 or more enemies next to you, while you're above 90% health.
• In groups with Improved Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt keeps Shadow Vulnerability up, and Wrack goes out once Corruption and a Bane are on the target.

Good to know

• The helper keeps Demon Skin / Demon Armor up and summons your demon out of combat (Succubus by default; Imp, Voidwalker or none is your pick).
• It won't start a cast that a mob running at you would push back, unless at most 1.5 seconds of it is left when the mob arrives.
• Fear, Howl of Terror, Death Coil, Healthstone and Soulstone stay yours.
