Holy Paladin healing guide & helper

Heal as Holy Paladin with a helper that picks the right target: it watches your whole group, keeps dispels going and fills quiet moments with damage.

Updated for patch 12.1.5 · World of Warcraft: Midnight · Windows
Guide

How Holy plays.

Holy Shock is your instant heal, Flash of Light and Holy Light are your casts, and the Holy Power they build goes into Word of Glory or Light of Dawn before it overflows. Your beacons sit on the right people and copy your heals. The helper heals the most hurt person first, counting heals that are already on the way.

Who gets healed

  • Someone dying comes first: at 35% or lower (changeable), a heal goes before dispels.
  • At 20% or lower your own defensive goes before any heal (changeable).
  • The person under your mouse is healed first until full, unless someone else is below 30%.
  • Dispels: Cleanse on the Devour rift first (Blessing of Freedom takes a second one while Cleanse is on cooldown), then normal Cleanse when nobody is dying.
  • Blessing of Freedom goes on someone who is crowd controlled.
  • Beacons: right-click a party frame and pick "Keep Beacon of ... here" to keep one there. Otherwise Beacon of Light and Beacon of Faith go on ranged players, the tank only when no ranged player can take it.

Healing spells

  1. Lay on Hands on someone at 25% or lower; Blessing of Protection on a non-tank at 35% with aggro or a bleed.
  2. Blessing of Sacrifice on the tank at 35%, or right before a boss tank hit - only while you're at 60% or more.
  3. Avenging Wrath when 4 people are below 75% (or 3 below 60%); Aura Mastery 1.5 seconds before a big group hit.
  4. Beacon of Virtue when 2 are below 75%; Divine Toll when 3 are below 70% (or 2 below 60%).
  5. Light of Dawn at 5 Holy Power when 3 are below 90%; Word of Glory at 5 on someone below 95%.
  6. Holy Shock on someone below 50%.
  7. Holy Shock at two charges, Flash of Light with Infusion of Light, Holy Light, then Holy Shock and Flash of Light.

When it's quiet

  • Judgment.
  • Shield of the Righteous at 5 Holy Power while everyone is at 90% or more.
  • Holy Prism when 2 people are below 90%; Holy Shock at two charges while everyone is fine.

Good to know

  • Every number above is a setting you can change.
  • With 60% mana or more, Flash of Light heals below 75% and Holy Light below 85%; below that the careful lines decide again.
  • Holy Bulwark and Sacred Weapon go on yourself, but only while nobody is below 50%.
  • No Lay on Hands or Blessing of Protection on someone with Forbearance or a big defensive up.
What it does for you

Built for Holy.

01

Heal the right target

The healing engine watches your whole group and raid and picks who needs it now. The one about to die comes first.

02

Dispels

Harmful effects come off your group as they land, when you switch Dispels on.

03

Damage when it's quiet

When nobody needs healing, your Holy damage spells keep going.

04

Kicks and stuns

Interrupts on the casts that matter, at the last safe moment, and no stuns on mobs that can't be stunned.

05

Immunity learning

It learns which mobs shrug off your spells and stops casting them there.

06

You stay in control

Every spell, threshold and line of the priority is yours to change. One switch turns it off.
